Women’s History Month 2021

This is National Women’s History Month and I want to take a moment to celebrate a few women who have each been telling “her-story” through the passion of doing what she loves. These woman are powerful in their own rights and I hope they remain true to themselves, true to whom they were created to be.

First up is Stephanie Hider @stephhider. Stephanie is a visual designer, illustrator and front-end developer. She helps her clients brings magic and life to author’s picture books and also helps recreate their digital homes. Stephanie literally breathed life into my first children’s book, “Hamidi Bear and Hanya Bluebird.” She is a professional, gifted artist and her work speaks for itself. Check her out at www.stephaniehider.com

Next is Charise Jackson-Shields of @MakeshiftAndCurated. This young woman is the real deal. Although I’ve not been able to meet her in person, she cares about others and is a perfectionist when it comes to making her small batch, delicious smelling soaps, tub teas, and everything else! She loves God, her children, family and wants what’s best for them. She does not let being a single parent slow her down, in fact, I believe it energizes her to seemingly do the impossible. She stays connected to family and friends even during tough times. Charise would say her choices have pushed her into living a meaningful and purposeful life. She is authentic, transparent and her body products are life! Check her out at www.makeshiftandcurated.com

Then there’s Krystine Green, owner of KayGee Branding and Creative which was launched in 2017. This young woman has turned 10 years of dabbling in design, coding and creativity into a powerful business. She enjoys helping people bring their dreams to reality. Krystine is great at strategic planning, branding and design. With a background in Apparel Merchandising Operations and Data Management, she has been able to use her dual background in tech and design along with her amazing intuitive nature to personalize her client’s experience. She is gifted in bringing your branding vision to life. Check her out at www.kaygeebc.com

Other young women powerhouses I celebrate this month include: Chalon Murphy, author (@chalonmurphy); Chevonna Gaylor, Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (@chevonnalmft); Stacey Knox, BabyLove Designs Custom Jewelry (@naturall_girl); Ruth Ross, Custom Jewelry Maker/Entrepreneur (@JaFlorDesigns); and countless others. I celebrate all women who dare to use every gift endowed upon them by our Creator, who live the dream and give Him all the glory. Greater is yet to come!
